Overview
Slæ̈rn Urïpá-kágd Drapt was founded durring the late 11th century, by Glêbel. The establishment of Slæ̈rn Urïpá-kágd Drapt was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Glêbel struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Slæ̈rn Urïpá-kágd Drapt as a prison colony.
Slæ̈rn Urïpá-kágd Drapt was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the late 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Slæ̈rn Urïpá-kágd Drapt is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.
Slæ̈rn Urïpá-kágd Drapt is buildings are arranged arround a single crampt cobblestone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the city a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The city rests behind a set of well fortified walls, with gatehouses, watch towers, and battlments. Slæ̈rn Urïpá-kágd Drapt's walls are, howeaver, fashioned from stone and timber. While unorthadox, the design looks to be functional to a reasonable degree. With luck, the untested design will remain untested for years to come. The unusual yet seemingly effective fortifications has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.
A look around Slæ̈rn Urïpá-kágd Drapt makes it abundantly clear the city suffered something horrible some time ago. It’s a quiet city filled with closed scriptoriums, people quietly yet dejectedly reading in isolated places around town, and the occasional book laying in a heap of garbage.

The style used is characterized by dynamic designs and complex architectural plan forms; intended to heighten feelings of motion and sensuality, and frequently based on the oval. It made extensive and extreme use of: Grandeur, Contrast, Curves and twists, Rich surface treatments, Gilded statuary, Bright colors, Vividly painted ceilings, Fragmented or deliberately incomplete elements, Large-scale frescoes, Dramatic central projections on an external facade, the use of plaster, stucco, or marble finishing, Illusory effects such as trompe l’oeil, and pear-shaped domes. While beloved by the nobility, the common folk tended to despise the style due to the massive consumption of resources required for even a small building constructed in this style.
